Paraplanner

  • Office based for probation period then 2 days home working option

We are seeking a dedicated Paraplanner to join our Wealth Planning department. This role involves supporting Wealth Planners by conducting high-quality research across a full range of financial planning products and services such as pensions, life insurance, tax planning, and investment management. This enables our Wealth Planners to provide comprehensive, holistic advice to our clients, ensuring good outcomes. The ideal candidate will be proactive, maintain their technical knowledge, and ensure compliance with regulatory and organisational procedures.

Day-to-Day of the Role:

  • Conduct appropriate and accurate research based on information gathered by Wealth Planners and known client data to recommend suitable financial solutions.
  • Undertake accurate calculations and cash-flow modelling to support recommendations.
  • Prepare client-centric suitability reports and other documentation, ensuring adherence to the company's processes and compliance framework.
  • Draft and coordinate technical documents and research for client presentations.
  • Identify potential future advice areas during research or report preparation and communicate these to the Wealth Planner.
  • Continuously seek to improve the efficiency and quality of suitability report templates and internal processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in providing first-class paraplanning services.
  • Knowledgeable in all Financial Planning practices including Investments, Pensions, and Protection.
  • Educated to at least A Level/Higher standard with an RQF level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning or equivalent.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and desirable experience with XPlan and Cashflow Planning software.
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
  • Committed to ongoing professional development, ideally aiming for Chartered Financial Planner status.
