We are seeking a motivated and patient-focused Primary Care Paramedic to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a primary care setting, delivering high-quality, accessible care to our patient population.
The successful candidate will work alongside GPs, nurses, pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to assess, diagnose and manage a wide range of minor illness conditions, helping to improve patient outcomes and ease GP workload.
Main duties of the jobConduct face-to-face and telephone consultations for patients presenting with minor illnesses
Undertake clinical assessment, diagnosis and management within scope of practice
Provide urgent same-day care and triage patients appropriately
Prescribe or supply medication (if qualified) or make recommendations for treatment
Refer patients to appropriate services, including secondary care, community services or allied health professionals
Maintain accurate clinical records
Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives

Job responsibilitiesKey Responsibilities
Assess, diagnose and manage patients with minor illnesses
Deliver face-to-face and telephone consultations
Provide urgent same-day appointments and clinical triage
Develop and implement appropriate management plans
Prescribe or recommend medication (if qualified)
Refer patients to secondary care, community services or allied professionals
Work collaboratively within the clinical team
Maintain accurate and timely clinical records
Participate in service development and quality improvement
Person Specification Qualifications- Registered Paramedic with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
- Experience in urgent care, ambulance service or primary care
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Full UK driving licence
