Join Our Team as a Paralegal - Based at Our Head Office in Waterloo, London

We're looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our legal team at our vibrant Head Office in Waterloo, London.

In this role, you'll work closely with the General Counsel to provide high-quality legal support across a wide range of practice areas. These include contract review and drafting, property matters (such as leases and licences), company secretarial duties, and general legal functions as needed. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a fast-paced, varied, and rewarding legal environment.

We're seeking someone who brings a proactive and collaborative mindset, with a strong eye for detail and a flexible approach to managing legal tasks. Your contribution will help ensure our legal services are delivered efficiently and effectively, supporting both our operational goals and compliance obligations.

Experience in the landlord function within a Supported Living environment would be an advantage-but it's not essential. What matters most is your enthusiasm, professionalism, and readiness to contribute to a dynamic function.

What you'll be working

Below are our standard working hours but if you are looking for different working hours please feel free to talk to us and we will be as flexible we can around the needs of the service.

  • 37.5 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday 9am - 5.30pm
  • Hybrid working, 3 days office based in Waterloo and two days remote
What you'll be doing
  • Support the General Counsel with drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of contracts and commercial agreements.
  • Assist with property-related legal matters, including leases, licenses, and landlord obligations.
  • Manage company secretarial tasks to ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide legal input and support on landlord functions related to the company's supported living property portfolio.
  • Conduct legal research and maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
  • Liaise with external legal advisors and stakeholders as required.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate legal documentation and records and provide some administrative support to the General Counsel.
  • Support other ad hoc legal projects and tasks as directed.
  • Adherence to all Group policies and procedures and ensuring that all colleagues in the service are aware of and understand company policies.

What you'll have

Essential:

  • Minimum qualification: Law degree (LLB) or equivalent.
  • Previous office experience as a paralegal, preferably in a commercial or property law environment.
  • Strong understanding of UK contract law, property law, and company secretarial procedures.
  • Excellent drafting, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently, and to flex to meet the priorities for the company.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • A positive attitude to learning and developing your knowledge base and legal skills, as well as taking all feedback on board

Desirable:

  • Experience working within the private healthcare or supported living sector.
  • Knowledge of landlord responsibilities and property management within a supported living portfolio.
  • Experience using Legal AI tools is desirable.
  • Experience supporting company secretarial functions in a corporate setting.
