What you'll do
You will support fee earners across a broad range of UK private client matters. Your work will help to ensure that matters progress smoothly, deadlines are met, and clients receive a professional and responsive service.
In this role, you'll:
- Provide paralegal support across a broad range of private client matters including wills, estate planning, probate and estate administration.
- Draft routine legal documents and correspondence under supervision.
- Liaise with clients, families, executors, trustees, financial advisers and other professional contacts.
- Conduct legal research as required to support matters.
- Support fee earners with general administrative and client facing tasks.
- Maintain accurate case files and manage documentation in line with regulatory requirements.
What we're looking for
- Previous experience as a paralegal is highly desirable but not essential.
- A proven track record of providing high quality administration support within a legal/professional services environment.
- Previous experience in Private Client matters is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong Word, Excel, Case Management, PDF docs and PowerPoint skills.
- Excellent organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to deal with highly confidential information with tact and sensitivity.
- Superb attention to detail and accuracy (verbal, written, and numerical).
- The desire to work in a fast paced, collaborative, and friendly team.
- Located within a commutable distance of Exeter and comfortable with regular office attendance.
