Conveyancing Paralegal

Salary: £24,000-£27,000 per annum, depending on experience
Location: Barnsley
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Conveyancing Paralegal to join a busy and established legal team in Barnsley.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous residential conveyancing experience who is looking to develop their career within a supportive and fast-paced environment.

The Role

You will provide support throughout the conveyancing process, assisting with a varied caseload and ensuring matters progress efficiently and accurately.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with the day-to-day management of residential conveyancing files.

  • Supporting fee earners throughout transactions from instruction through to completion.

  • Preparing and reviewing legal documentation.

  • Liaising with clients, solicitors, estate agents, lenders and other third parties.

  • Carrying out property searches and reviewing relevant documentation.

  • Assisting with enquiries and responding to client and third-party queries.

  • Preparing files for exchange and completion.

  • Maintaining accurate case records and ensuring key dates and deadlines are met.

  • Providing general legal and administrative support to the wider conveyancing team.

About You

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • Previous experience within Residential Conveyancing.

  • Experience as a Paralegal, Conveyancing Assistant, Legal Assistant or similar.

  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Confident communication and client care skills.

  • The ability to manage a busy workload and work to deadlines.

  • A proactive approach and willingness to learn and develop.

  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
