Dundee Health & Social Care Partnership Tayside Palliative and End of Life Care Managed Care Network Manager

PART TIME 22.5 hours - Fixed Term/Secondment 18 months

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to join our forward-thinking Tayside Palliative and End of Life (PEOLC) Managed Care Network. The post will be hosted in Dundee Health and Social Care Partnership to work closely with all teams and stakeholders to support the Tayside to drive improvements and innovation to deliver highly effective PEOLC across the region. This post is pivotal to providing comprehensive management and support to the Managed Care Network and associated subgroups within.

The post works within the wider teams and will be key to the delivery of the work within the MCN and subgroups whilst aligning to the priorities set within the National Palliative Care Strategy Matters to all but also Tayside Together Corporate objectives and delivering a regional Palliative care strategy to the citizens of Tayside. The work will include the planning, organisation and co-ordination of groups to agree work plans, plan projects, support and drive improvements through audit and measurements. The ability to work seamlessly with all members of the multi-disciplinary team both clinical and non-clinical will be essential to the delivery of identified local and regional outcomes.

The hours will be required across the week Monday to Friday so will require flexibility and offers the opportunity for hybrid working to meet the needs of the MCN. The Candidate must have a desire to succeed, have excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams and services. Organisation and planning skills are essential with an ability to influence, persuade and manage change across complex systems. An understanding of Palliative care is highly desirable. The applicants will have held a senior management of clinical role within the NHS or other large complex organisation.

You will be required to achieve the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.
