Job Role DetailsAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Packhouse Manager to lead day to day operations at the Warwickshire site. This is a hands on leadership role, responsible for overseeing packing lines, managing teams, and ensuring production targets are met while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee day to day packhouse operations across multiple packing lines
- Ensure production targets are met in line with customer demand and quality standards
- Monitor workflow, labour allocation, and line performance to maximise efficiency
- Drive improvements in throughput, waste reduction, and overall productivity
- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of permanent and seasonal staff
- Support and coach line leaders to improve performance and accountability
- Manage staffing levels, rotas, and training requirements
- Identify inefficiencies and implement practical solutions to optimise processes
- Introduce and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Work closely with senior management to deliver operational improvements and KPIs
- Ensure all products meet customer specifications and food safety standards
- Maintain compliance with relevant regulations including HACCP and BRC where applicable
- Promote a strong health & safety culture and ensure safe systems of work are followed
- Proven experience in a packhouse, production, or food manufacturing environment
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams in a fast paced setting
- Demonstrable track record of improving operational efficiency and processes
- Hands on, proactive approach with strong problem solving abilityGood understanding of food safety and quality standards
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Experience within fresh produce or short shelf life products
- Knowledge of continuous improvement or lean methodologies
- Previous experience managing multiple production lines
