Job Description

Position - Outreach Mentor

Location - Manchester (M15)

Pay - £550-£700 per week, depending on experience

Start date -

Hours - Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm (during term time only)

Are you an experienced Outreach mentor, seeking a new opportunity within SEMH? We are working with a SEMH provision in Manchester to recruit a calm and resilient Outreach Mentor to join their team.

The school supports pupils aged between 11-18, with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. You will be supporting pupils in the community, promoting engagement and development.

As an Outreach Mentor, you will:

  • Work 1:1 with pupils, promoting both academic and emotional development
  • Reguarly communicate with parents and SLT
  • Take attendance in mornings and report to SLT

What we are looking for:

  • Previous experience supporting Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs
  • A full, clean UK driving license and access to a car is essential for this position
  • Comfortable delivering and preparing 1:1 lessons
  • Team Teach training is highly desired

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
