Full Description

Based between Woolacombe and Croyde surf beaches in North Devon we are a centre where we travel off-site for nearly all our activities. We work with one school/youth group at a time and look to invest in them during their stay.

We are looking for someone who is a capable outdoor enthusiast who is keen to share their Christian faith in the Outdoor activities environment and be part of a small team of 8 who run all aspects of centre life. An opportunity to develop your leadership skills and get qualified further is encouraged. An open approach to helping in all areas of centre life is needed as the role here will include activity leadership, catering help, cleaning, maintenance tasks and grounds work.

As a team who share their own Christian faith with each group that stays here, it is an Occupational Requirement for this role (Equality Act - part 1, schedule 9) that the post-holder is a committed Christian.

Qualifications / Requirements

Over qualified is not an issue as we surf, coasteer and paddle in the sea, climb on coastal rocks and bike on local trails so you will have an opportunity to use them! A confident swimmer is essential as we train everyone to be a surf lifeguard to assist and lead board surfing and swimming in the sea.

• PaddleSport Instructor or above and a confident kayaker in closed cockpit craft.


• Be on their way to RCI or willing and capable of getting it completed.


• Full UK manual driving license, preferably with a years experience.


• Confident to drive a minibus sized vehicle and willing to train for a D1 license if not held already.


• Powerboat qualification desirable as we run Ringo/towable sessions in the summer.
