Location: High Adventure Outdoor Education Centre, Cowling
Salary and Benefits£10.85 - £12.71 per hour (minimum wage directives as of April 2026) for a guaranteed minimum of 37.5 hrs per week. Additional hours are available during busy periods. You will be working 5 days per week, including weekends and evenings. The role includes auto enrolment into the NEST pension scheme, 28 days holiday per calendar year, reduced price equipment deals, and subsidised accommodation (optional private bedroom at £77.70 per week). Guests may eat meals at the centre when groups are in residence.
OverviewHigh Adventure Outdoor Education Centre, located on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales near Skipton, is looking for a full time Outdoor Activity Instructor. The venue delivers exciting outdoor education to primary and secondary schools, family holidays, and youth organisations.
ResponsibilitiesDeliver outdoor activities across a range of programmes, collaborate with schools and youth organisations, maintain safety and quality of the experience, and support training and development of participants.
Requirements- Essential qualifications: Minimum two of the following: 16 hour first aid, ERCA or CWI training, PSI, and experience providing outdoor activities in a similar role.
- Desirable qualifications: Cave leader level 1 training, water sports qualifications such as PSL, road cycling knowledge and experience or qualifications.
- Full UK driving licence.
Position starts ASAP from 18th May 2026. You will work five days a week, including weekends and evenings. Accommodation is optional.
