We are seeking an Outside Plant (OSP) Engineering Team Lead for a 1-year Contract.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Lead design projects for assigned department projects.
  • Coordinate project plans with team members.
  • Serve as the customer contact when Division Managers are unavailable.
  • Maintain communication with customers and inform VistaCare team of changes.
  • Monitor schedules and ensure deadlines are met; develop contingency plans if needed.
  • Review work of team members for adherence to timelines.
  • Discuss project timelines with Regional and Division Managers.
  • Read and interpret fibre network design drawings and outside plant records.
  • Collaborate with other teams to solve project challenges.
  • Handle special projects as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Manage multiple projects with focus on deadlines and contingency planning.
  • Proficient in computer skills and adaptable to new software.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Prioritize tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Understand various telecommunications standards.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of construction documents and drawings.
  • Knowledge of current construction practices is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Additional Requirements
  • Pass criminal record check.
  • Authorized to work in Canada.
Experience Required
  • At least 2 years in Telecommunications or Fibre-to-the-Home design.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or Diploma of Technology, preferably in Telecommunications, Civil, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD for telecommunication network designs.
  • Experience managing and leading design teams, overseeing schedules and resources.
