Role Description

This is an office based role processing and managing customer orders. The Order Processor and Sales Administrator plays a key role in ensuring customer orders are processed accurately and efficiently from receipt through to dispatch. Acting as a central communication point between sales, production, and the warehouse, the role helps ensure that customer requirements are met and any operational issues are quickly identified and resolved.

This position requires a fast thinking individual with a proactive, can do attitude who can adapt quickly to daily challenges and work collaboratively with colleagues across the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately process customer orders and amendments
  • Ensure orders are confirmed, scheduled, and communicated to the relevant departments in a timely manner
  • Work closely with the Finance and Sales team to ensure orders are dealt with efficiently to avoid delivery delays
  • Work with the supply chain, planning and transport departments to ensure all customer requests go smoothly
  • Monitor order progress and coordinate with production and warehouse teams to ensure on time fulfilment
  • Work with the Sales team to organise delivery of samples to customers in a timely manner
  • Maintain accurate order records, documentation, and system updates
  • Provide administrative support to the sales team, including preparing reports, updating customer information, and assisting with account documentation
  • Liaise with customers regarding their orders and general enquires, taking ownership of any escalations for their enquires.
  • Effectively escalate new sales enquires in a timely manner to the relevant Account Manager
  • When necessary, assist the Technical and Sales team with NPD projects
  • Assist with pricing updates, customer communications, and internal reporting when required
  • Work closely with the Warehouse and Production teams to ensure order requirements are clearly communicated
  • Act as a key point of contact between departments and customers to help resolve operational queries and order related issues
  • Support the Warehouse Manager and operational teams by helping identify and communicate any issues affecting orders or deliveries
  • Respond quickly to daily challenges that may affect order processing or delivery schedules
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to find practical solutions and maintain customer service standards
  • Deliver a high standard of customer service through professional communication and timely responses
  • Maintain positive relationships with key customers by ensuring reliable order management and support
The ideal candidate

The ideal candidate must have:

  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Previous experience in an administrative, sales support, or order processing role (previous experience within FMCG, or a similar operational environment is desirable)
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills across different departments

Working Hours
  • 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
  • Office based
