This position is an Adults Using Family Violence Practitioner role and that the role requires flexibility in working across the Belgrave and Croydon sites. The role will commence in Belgrave, with a possible move to Croydon after 3 months
Make your markAnglicare Victoria are hiring to a fixed term full time position up to December 18th 2026. You will join the team at The Orange Door Belgrave to begin with. This role will work as part of an integrated team to provide specialist services to Adults Using Violence referred to The Orange Door.
This is primarily a phone-based role, where your practice skills are applied through conversation, risk assessment and planning. You will work collaboratively as part of an integrated practice approach to respond to family violence and children and family vulnerability concerns through the provision of:
- Screening and triage, assessment, crisis responses, service planning, targeted interventions;
- Allocation services and coordination of referrals;
- Collaborative working with the Hub team to support integrated risk assessment and planning, including participating in case conferences, meetings and the resolution of stakeholder issues.

The skills you will use day to day- Experience working with perpetrators of violence, men / fathers.
- Working through an intersectional lens.
- The ability to work with children and families and/or family violence where there are complex needs and risk issues.
- Resilience to work with and support clients who have been exposed to trauma.
- The ability to identify, assess and prioritise risks and needs of clients in a whole of family approach.
- The ability to recognise and identify limits of own expertise and to seek advice or refer clients to other specialists.
- Assessment skills, L17 referrals, Best Interests Case Practice Model and MARAM knowledge would be highly regarded.
- A salary starting at around 100,776 plus super plus salary packaging (Level 5 SCHADS)
- Negotiable through the increments dependent upon experience.
- Office location: Belgrave and Croydon
- 9am-5pm hours based at The Orange Door which makes your work/life more predictable.

- Fixed term to December 18th 2026. Full time hours. 9am-5pm.

Mandatory Minimum QualificationsBachelor's Degrees, Graduate Certificates, and Master's Degrees are required to work at The Orange Door. If you hold a Diploma, then you will need to complete further study and complete a higher level of education within the next 10 years.
