Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Fusion Cloud Architect to lead the end-to-end architecture for a major transformation programme spanning Human Capital Management (HCM), Finance, and other Oracle Fusion modules. The initial phase will focus on HCM, followed by Finance and further ERP capabilities.

This role will define solution architecture across multiple domains, ensure seamless integration into a complex enterprise environment, and guide the programme through all phases from design to delivery. The successful candidate will bring proven expertise in large-scale UK Oracle Fusion implementations, combining technical depth with strong stakeholder engagement skills.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Architecture & Design

  • Own the overall solution architecture for Oracle Fusion Cloud, covering HCM, Finance, and other modules.
  • Define architecture principles, patterns, and integration frameworks for a scalable, secure, and future-ready solution.
  • Translate business needs into technical designs aligned with enterprise architecture standards and programme objectives.

Integration & Compliance

  • Oversee integration between Oracle Fusion Cloud and other enterprise systems, including third-party services and Legacy platforms.
  • Ensure compliance with UK statutory requirements (Tax, Pensions, Expenses, HMRC RTI) across all modules.
  • Guide data migration design and ensure robust data governance practices are applied.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Work closely with Project Managers, Enterprise Architects, Workstream Leads, SMEs, and transformation partners to align technical and business goals.
  • Facilitate workshops to clarify requirements, explore solution options, and gain stakeholder buy-in.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to both technical and business leadership.

Governance & Delivery

  • Support programme governance by providing architecture assurance, risk management, and decision-making guidance.
  • Oversee solution build, testing, and deployment, ensuring alignment with agreed designs.
  • Adapt quickly to changing priorities and maintain delivery pace without compromising quality.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Extensive experience as a Solution or Enterprise Architect on Oracle Fusion Cloud implementations.
  • In-depth expertise in multiple modules, with HCM and Finance experience essential.
  • Proven track record delivering UK-based Oracle Fusion programmes with strong compliance knowledge.
  • Strong understanding of integration architectures in complex multi-system environments.
  • Experience working with transformation partners and within structured governance frameworks.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Experience in the Higher Education sector or other large, complex organisations.
  • Knowledge of additional Oracle Fusion modules (eg, Procurement, Projects).
  • Familiarity with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) and other Oracle Middleware technologies.
  • Awareness of cloud security standards, GDPR, and UK data protection requirements.

What We Offer

  • A leading architecture role in a strategic, multi-phase transformation programme.
  • Competitive day rate, commensurate with experience.
  • Potential for long-term engagement beyond the initial 12 months.
  • Opportunity to influence the architecture of a large-scale, high-impact Oracle Cloud transformation.
