Job Description

Optometrists, we have a fantastic opportunity available at our Boots Opticians Milton Keynes practice.

We are a flagship 6-testing room practice within a Boots UK Store with Hearing Care, located in the Destination Shopping Centre. Parking is available at a discounted rate for colleagues.

Our team of 34 includes 6 Resident Optometrists, 2 DOs, and a CLO. We also have advanced equipment such as a Phoropter and OCT to enable you to provide the best care to our patients.

About the opportunity

You will be a key part of a team passionate about delivering unforgettable customer care, supported by the resources and progression opportunities of a leading healthcare brand.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  1. Leading clinics and providing specialist care and advice to all patients.
  2. Testing eyes using the latest technology while maintaining outstanding patient care.
  3. Delivering enhanced services based on store needs.
  4. Responding to emergency triages.
  5. Collaborating with external healthcare professionals.
  6. Providing clinical support to team members on the shop floor.
  7. Advising patients using your clinical knowledge.
  8. Keeping up to date with the latest clinical practices.
  9. Working closely with senior stakeholders.
What you'll need to have

The essential skills and experience include:

  1. GOC registration (or expecting to be registered within 6 months).
  2. Additional registration with the relevant NHS body.
  3. A drive to deliver excellent patient care.
  4. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  5. A motivation to 'See What's Possible' for teams, customers, and patients.
