You'll be joining an independent practice in Derbyshire that focuses on quality patient care. The environment is professional but relaxed, with a real emphasis on patient experience.

They're looking for someone confident across the full Optical Assistant role - particularly dispensing at all levels and carrying out pre-screening to a high standard.

The Role

You'll play a key part in the day-to-day running of the practice, supporting both the clinical and retail side of the business.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Dispensing a wide range of lenses and frames, including more complex prescriptions
• Providing tailored advice to patients based on their lifestyle and visual needs
• Carrying out pre-screening tests (OCT, visual fields, auto-refraction, etc.)
• Supporting clinics to ensure a smooth patient journey
• Delivering a professional and personable customer experience at all times

What They're Looking For

• Previous experience as an Optical Assistant is essential
• Confident dispenser across all levels
• Comfortable with pre-screening equipment and processes
• Strong communication skills and a patient-first approach
• A team player who takes pride in their work
