Job Description
About the Job Union Public Service Commission is hiring an Additional Legal Adviser at Ministry of Law and Justice. Eligibility A. Educational QualificationA Degree in Law from a recognized University or an equivalent qualification.B. ExperienceThe candidate should satisfy any one of the following conditions:
- He should have been a member of a State Judicial Service for a period of not less than thirteen years; or
- He should have held a superior post in the Legal Department of a State for a period of not less than thirteen years; or
- He should be a Central Government servant with not less than thirteen years of experience in legal affairs; or
- He should be a qualified legal practitioner.
- An advocate or a pleader who has practiced for at least thirteen years; or
- An attorney of the High Court of Bombay or Calcutta who has practiced as such attorney and as an advocate for a total period of at least eleven years.
- If the minimum qualification is LL.B., only post-LL.B. experience will be considered.
- If the minimum qualification is LL.M., only post-LL.M. experience will be considered.
- to give advice on all matters referred by the various Ministries/Departments of the Government of India.
- to look after Government litigation work.
- to conduct court cases and to appear in courts on behalf of the Central Government, wherever required and
- to perform administrative and other works as may be assigned.
