Operative Level 1 (Sports)

Worcester City Council is looking for someone to join our grounds maintenance team with a particular interest in sports pitch maintenance. As part of a small team you which includes working 1 in 4 weekends your role will provide high quality sports and recreational facilities. Duties include making sure the pitches are clean and well maintained, line marking, drainage, irrigation, ride on mowing.heavy plant and tractor mounted machinery to carry out pitch renovation, fertilising and seeding. You will ensure that complimentary facilities like changing rooms and toilets are suitable for use and report any faults for repair.As part of the Greenspace team you will be required to support work in our premiere parks and green spaces, ensuring the parks and open spaces are clean and clear of litter and emptying bins.

We are looking for someone with experience of work outdoors all year round, has a full driving licence with category BE1, can use power tools and machinery, can work in a small team and takes pride in their work.
