Job: Operations Team Member

Location: Erdington Birmingham
Shifts: Sunday to Thursday - 06:00-14:00 and 15:00 -23:00

We are looking for motivated and reliable Operations Team Members to join our state-of-the-art Central Logistics Centre in Birmingham.

This is a multi-skilled warehouse role where you'll play a vital part in ensuring healthcare and pharmaceutical products are received, stored, picked, packed, and dispatched accurately and efficiently. Working within a highly automated environment, you'll support the delivery of essential medicines and healthcare products to customers across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately pick, pack and dispatch customer orders using warehouse management systems and automated technology.

  • Load and unload vehicles safely using appropriate equipment.

  • Receive, store and move stock within the warehouse while maintaining product quality and compliance standards.

  • Conduct inventory checks and maintain accurate stock records.

  • Use handheld scanners and warehouse management systems to process stock movements.

  • Ensure stock rotation procedures are followed.

  • Operate Material Handling Equipment where trained and authorised.

  • Support warehouse productivity targets and KPIs.

  • Identify and report operational issues and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Follow all health and safety procedures and regulatory requirements.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across multiple departments to ensure smooth warehouse operations.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Good verbal communication skills.

  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills.

  • Comfortable working in a warehouse environment, including standing, walking and manual handling.

  • Ability to work flexible shifts to meet operational requirements.

  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience within a warehouse, logistics, manufacturing or distribution environment.

  • Experience using Warehouse Management Systems.

  • Knowledge of automated warehouse technologies.

  • FLT, Reach Truck, Counterbalance or PPT licences, preferably.

  • Understanding of inventory control and stock management processes.
