The Operations Manager will direct the strategic initiatives and objectives of the hotel, as well as manage day to day operations through the engagement of the team. All members of the department work together to create memorable moments for guests in line with both company and hotel specific service standards, and collaborate closely with other departments within the hotel. As an ambassador for your own hotel and the wider Leonardo Hotels estate, you demonstrate the company vision, mission and values, treating others with respect, dignity and fairness.
As an Operations Manager, you will keep the hotel running like clockwork and lead your team to ensure our guests have an incredible experience. You'll work alongside the General Manager to oversee operations, ensure every stay is extra special and inspire a vibrant team to exceed our guests' expectations.
Key Responsibilities- Work alongside the General Manager to devise new ways of moving the Leonardo Hotels brand forward in your hotel
- Support with the delivery of new starter induction and "Guest Care" training, ensuring all team members are offering great hospitality to our brand standards
- Actively monitor recruitment requirements in your hotel to support the operation and team development
- Have good knowledge of the local area to drive business opportunities for your hotel
- Collaborate with your local HR team to host engaging activities for your team
- Support the ongoing repositioning of the hotel towards a more luxury and premium guest experience
- Lead by example with a strong presence across all operational departments, ensuring exceptional service standards are consistently delivered
- Work closely with Heads of Department to drive guest satisfaction, operational efficiency and financial performance
- Take an active role in Health & Safety compliance, ensuring the hotel operates in line with company standards and legislation at all times
- Support departmental audits, training, risk assessments and safe working practices across the hotel
- Be highly visible within the operation, supporting peak business periods including evenings and weekends
- The main working pattern for this role will typically be Thursday to Monday, in line with the business needs of the hotel
- Previous experience within a branded luxury hotel environment is preferred, ideally within a 5 star hotel, although strong experience within a premium 4 star luxury property will also be considered
- Demonstrate a passion for guest experience, team engagement and continuous operational improvement
- Key people skills and ability to inspire team to deliver outstanding hospitality
- Knowledge of local market and ability to identify business opportunities
- Strong grasp of Health & Safety regulations and audit processes
