Iron Mountain is seeking a strategic and experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to join our team. In this role, you will spearhead the planning, organization, and execution of all warehouse activities within an expanding multi-user facility.
Daily work schedule: 5 days out of 7, including weekends.
Responsibilities- Lead the entire warehouse operation including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory management.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to improve efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness, including succession planning strategies for operational continuity.
- Establish and enforce warehouse policies and safety protocols to ensure full compliance with industry regulations and company standards.
- Manage and develop a team of warehouse supervisors, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations necessary to support staff growth.
- Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and data analysis to identify trends, assess performance against key metrics, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with business development and facilities management to ensure seamless operational integration and support new business opportunities.
- Experience in warehouse management, preferably within a 3PL or high-volume distribution environment.
- Strong knowledge of WMS and inventory control methodologies, with a proven track record of optimizing operations and reducing costs.
- Proven ability in data-driven leadership, using metrics to achieve high performance and outstanding results.
- Deep understanding of safety regulations, quality control procedures, and environmental compliance standards.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse groups and C-level stakeholders.
