New Job Alert - Operations Manager - Residential Services (Higher Education)
I'm working with a world-renowned London university that's hiring an Operations Manager to oversee its newest student residence, Robeson House, opening Summer 2025. This is a key front-line leadership role focused on delivering an exceptional residential experience and managing a high-performing front-of-house team.
MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE:
- Leading teams in customer-facing, hospitality, or residential settings
- Delivering excellent service, managing KPIs and service levels
- Experience using a Property Management System
- Confident with Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint)
- Managing rotas, reception services, and operational priorities
- Handling complaints, solving day-to-day issues, and using initiative during emergencies
- Adhering to GDPR, H&S, and emergency procedures (eg, fire safety, first aid)
ESSENTIALS:
Confident communicator and collaborative team player
Strong organisational and rota planning skills
Calm under pressure, with excellent problem-solving ability
Committed to delivering excellent service and student experience
Aware of data protection (GDPR), safeguarding, and diversity policies
Willingness to support student wellbeing and take on Mental Health First Aid training
Location: Central London/On-site
Salary: £36,008 - £43,854 (depending on experience)
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Start Date: ASAP/Pre-opening phase
