Operations Forester - South East Region

The primary role will involve managing forestry operations on a day-to-day basis, operating to tight deadlines. The role reports to the Regional Manager and is based in our regional office in Kilkenny.

The Role:

• Arranging forestry operations, including establishment, roading, harvesting, maintenance, and other services.
• Preparing licence applications for all licensed forestry activities and schemes.
• Supervising contractors to meet operational requirements and standards.
• Preparing operational budgets and controlling them.
• Assisting with promotion, marketing and sales activities.
• Maintaining a detailed focus to ensure adherence to Veon's, operational and health & safety standards.
• Ensuring operations are completed according to project deadlines.
• Complying with industry legal requirements and guidelines.

Requirements for the Operations Forester Role

• Relevant third-level qualification in Forestry.
• Full, clean Irish manual driving licence.
• Excellent IT and GIS skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to work as part of a team.
• Strong organisational, administrative and communication skills.
• Knowledge of current legal requirements and guidelines relating to forestry.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Authorised to work in Ireland.
