As such, we are lookingto appoint anoutstanding OperationsDirector to thiscritical new position, who can shapeanddeliver transformationalchange within thisprogressive organisation.The successful candidatewill play akey role inintegrating the businessinto the widerGroup, driving operationalexcellence, sharing bestpractice and helpingcreate one high-performing organisation.
Responsibilities:- This is asubstantial change managementand leadership rolewhere you mustbe ableto lead significantoperational activitieswithin a highlycommercial environment.
- Reporting to theManaging Director, youwill lead ahighly critical facilityin the NorthWest ata time ofmajor change andwhere there aresignificant obligertiesto maximise.
- As such, thisrole will befocused on bestpractice operational excellence, embeddingcontinuous improvementwith an emphasison output, customerexcellence,quality, compliance, health & safety, efficiencyand lean improvementsamongstothers.
- You will havefull accountability forall day-to-day and strategicoperational activitiesincluding manufacturing,warehousing, engineeringand logistics, witha significantfocus on improvedmethods and processesin all areas.
- You will defineoperational policy, leadall operational planningactivities and developa truly measurablecontinuous improvementculture. You will beexpected to leadthe organisation towardsbest in class, in order tomeet the companyfinance performance criteria.
- You will drivemeasurable improvementsacross key operationalmetrics including OEE, OTIF, Right FirstTime, waste reduction, labour productivity, assetutilisation and KPIperformance.
- To formulate andimplement plans todevelop an effectiveoperational structure anddirect, coach, trainand motivate teamstowards the establishmentof a continuousimprovement environment.
- To drive people engagement, creating a culture of communication, trust, accountability and involvement at all levels, toensure a high-performing best practiceenvironment.
- To implement asophisticated change anddevelopment programme interms of systems, processes, people andinnovation.
- You will ensure world-class quality and compliance standards are maintained, meeting regulatory requirements and exceeding customer expectations.
- This unique positiondemands an exceptionalindividualwho enjoys agrowth environment, substantialautonomy and ahighly visible operationalrole together witha focus onchange management.
- Of graduate calibreor degree qualifiedinan appropriate discipline, you will havean outstanding trackrecord in manufacturing/operational managementgained within abest-in-classmanufacturing environmentand possibly withina highlyregulated industry.
- With medium tohigh volume experience, you will understandthe demands ofrunning a complexmanufacturing facilityin a highlycustomer-centric environment, whereyou will havethe ability toidentify opportunitiesand know howto turn theminto a commercialreality.
- As such, relevantsector experience couldinclude;packaging, labels, foodand drink, pharmaceuticalmanufacturing, life sciencemanufacturing, beauty andpersonal care/FMCGetc.
