Operations Director - Midlands - £High Executive Package

Opportunity to join a dynamic print business in this key manufacturing role and drive lean thinking and deliver continuous improvement.

If you currently work in a digital environment we would like to hear from you. You will be responsible for the management and coordination of plant operations including repro, digital print, finishing, warehouse, and maintenance, consistently improving our client's performance in shipping, inventory, and throughput.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and direct the manufacturing and maintenance operation
• Initiate lean initiative plans and processes which minimize manufacturing costs through effective utilization of manpower, equipment, facilities and materials
• Assure delivery of business objectives and production schedules while ensuring product standards that exceed customers expectations
• Implement lean thinking and deliver continuous improvement
• Liaise with other departments e.g. suppliers and managers
• Supervise and motivate a team of workers
• Review worker performance
• Identify training needs
• Work with the fulfilment team to develop pick and pack to delivery
• Work with managers to implement the company's policies and goals
• Ensure health and safety guidelines are followed
• Be responsible for the selection and maintenance of equipment
• Work with commercial manager on planning
