Operations Director - London - Up to £70k pa

Overview

Our client is looking for an experienced senior manager to join them as Operations Director. This is a key role within the company and the salary will reflect this.

Main Purpose of the Job

To direct and manage the production operation so that customer needs are met creatively, effectively and efficiently.

To maintain confidence about delivery reliability and quality amongst the customer service, finance and sales teams. Key account management has been introduced to ensure high levels of customer retention.

To drive business efficiency and improvement through playing a leading role on the operational management team.

To realise the potential within the production operation.

To drive improvement of operating margins continuously.

To ensure that the organisation meets health and safety, quality and environmental legal requirements.

Principal Accountabilities

• To lead and direct production operations so that customer requirements are met reliably and consistently.
• To introduce world class manufacturing standards to improve competitiveness and to measure improvement against key performance indicators.
• To increase profit margins through the management of quality standards, health and safety requirements and environmental protection in production.
