Job Description

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate Director of Operations to join a prestigious luxury hospitality destination.

This senior leadership role is responsible for overseeing all operational departments and ensuring the highest standards of service delivery, guest satisfaction, and team engagement.

The successful candidate will be a polished professional who leads with empathy, energy, and excellence, and demonstrates a genuine passion for world class service and people development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all the daily operations across all departments including Front Office, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Conference & Banqueting, Food & Beverage, and Guest Services.
  • Ensure and drive consistent high standards of guest experience, handling any issues or complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Lead, coach, and support departmental managers, fostering a positive, high-performance culture.
  • Monitor labour costs, budgets, expenses, and overall profitability to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain operational policies, procedures, and service standards.
  • Coordinate with external suppliers and service providers as required.
  • Ensure full compliance with health & safety, licensing, legal, and employment regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure facilities, cleanliness, and maintenance standards are upheld.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management of team members.
  • Analyse occupancy trends, guest feedback, and performance data to drive continuous improvement.
Candidate Profile
  • Proven experience in a similar senior operational role within a luxury 4 or 5 star hospitality environment is essential.
  • Proven expertise across hotel operations, including Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, Maintenance, and Events is essential.
  • Strong leadership presence with a hands on, proactive management style.
  • Inspirational leader with the ability to motivate, engage, and develop high performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Confident problem solver, comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment.
