Overview

The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, managing a small team, and ensuring smooth delivery of services to clients. The role involves regular travel to client sites and requires someone comfortable being on the road and client-facing.

This role requires regular travel to customer sites and client locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee daily operations of the removals business
• Lead, coordinate, and motivate a small operational team
• Drive to client locations and attend site visits as required
• Plan jobs, routes, resources, and staffing efficiently
• Monitor costs, margins, and operational performance
• Ensure high standards of customer service and delivery
• Implement and improve operational processes and systems
• Ensure compliance with health & safety requirements
• Support the growth and scaling of the business

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience in operations, ideally within removals, freight, logistics, or transport
• Strong numerical and organisational skills, with the ability to manage costs and schedules
• Full, clean driving licence (essential)
• Experience managing and supervising a small team
• Hands-on, practical, and solutions-focused
• Comfortable working in a growing business environment
• Enjoys a challenge and is motivated to help grow a business
