The School Operations team provides a professional operational service, made up of Personal and Executive Assistants, Administrators, Project Officers, and Operations Managers who are closely aligned to the School's Departments.
The team works closely with other business areas across the School, Faculty and University to deliver activity and undertake business improvement projects. Working in partnership, sharing best practice, personal and professional development alongside providing excellent opportunities to gain further skills and experience within this area.
Context of the roleThe Operations Administrator role provides comprehensive and proactive operational support across the School. This is a dynamic and demanding role and will involve considerable flexibility and the ability to prioritise tasks in order to deliver operational support for all staff within the School and wider community. The post holder's role will be to ensure effective and professional liaison and communication with academic, administrative and external customers, to facilitate the smooth running of day-to-day activities by following and implementing processes and managing issues arising. The post holder will be required to provide support and guidance, in a supervisory capacity to other members of the operational team.
The post holder will be aligned to a Department within the School, but will be employed by the School and as such may be required to support other areas, across the School.
