Job Description
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate legal entity Important Business Services (IBS) and Critical or Important Functions (CIF) owners across all Ireland Asset Servicing legal entities.
  • Oversee the firm's operational resiliency systems and controls on behalf of the Head of the TNTC Ireland Branch and the CEOs for Northern Trust International Fund Administration Services Ireland Limited, Northern Trust Fiduciary Services Ireland Limited, and Northern Trust Fund Services Ireland Ltd.
  • Attend Irish entities operational resilience and outsourcing committees; maintain oversight with the Asset Servicing and Technology Resiliency Offices of the business services lifecycle per the Corporate Operational Resilience Policy and Standard.
  • Coordinate the identification, assessment, confirmation, and value chain analysis of IBS; identify resiliency vulnerabilities, define impact tolerance, and conduct business testing to ensure operations remain within tolerance during disruptions.
  • Support and oversee Ireland Branch compliance with DORA requirements, working with Enterprise and Technology Resiliency Offices to ensure the program covers DORA mandates.
  • Coordinate (i) identification and confirmation of CIFs; (ii) maintenance of appropriate ICT registers; (iii) adherence to DORA reporting requirements; (iv) facilitation of the annual ICT risk management framework approval; (v) approval of IBS & CIF impact tolerances by owners and senior executives.
  • Prepare and support governance facilitation to drive senior management decisions toward continuous resilience strengthening, including baseline metrics, reporting, and escalation of key risks.
  • Maintain self assessment documentation for each legal entity, oversee completion of sections by IBS owners or business functions, and promote consistent setting of resiliency risk appetite with branch leaders.
  • Perform risk acceptance and exception assessments, obtaining approval from senior executives and risk governance forums for any deviations from operational resilience policies.
  • Participate in lessons learned and regulatory change reviews, reassessing relevant Ireland legal entity resilience set ups and supporting resiliency culture and training.
  • Support client engagement and due diligence requests related to Ireland Asset Servicing legal entity IBS.
Qualifications and Experience
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in risk, resiliency or operational control environments within the financial services sector.
  • Stakeholder management skills with proven ability to direct virtual teams of senior stakeholders to successful outcomes.
  • Pragmatic, logical, and rigorous approach, with a proven track record of presenting to senior management and excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Deep knowledge of operational resiliency, including disaster/business recovery, business continuity management, third party vendor/out sourcing, corporate risk policies, and standards.
  • Understanding of risk management practices and the impact of regulation on operational resilience matters.
  • Knowledge of DORA regulation and experience of implementing DORA requirements (beneficial).
  • Analytical skills, including the ability to present ideas clearly to others and to identify and escalates operational resilience issues to management.
  • Ability to drive execution, self motivation, curiosity, and the capacity to work autonomously.
