Openings Manager

As an Openings Manager, you will be an integral part of opening new restaurants, setting the tone from day one. As an experienced senior manager, you're passionate about embedding high operational standards and building a positive culture that empowers teams to thrive. Working closely with key stakeholders, you ensure each new Smokehouse opens with energy, consistency, and purpose - creating the best experience for teams and guests.

Responsibilities & deliverables:

Team:

• Take an active, hands-on approach to training and coaching new teams, including management.
• Lead by example during the initial weeks of trading, bringing the restaurant up to required standards within the timeline.
• Support the Openings Operations Manager and people team in recruiting new teams.
• Support and mentor support teams as needed.
• Represent our culture and values with an authentic positive attitude.

Guests:

• Coach new team members on fostering community spirit among staff and guests.
• Monitor guest experience and feedback, ensuring issues are addressed and improvements made.
• Use Southern Hospitality to 'Wow' guests and create memorable experiences.
• Continuously improve operations to enhance guest satisfaction.
• Create inviting and friendly environments in our restaurants daily.

Restaurants:

• Assist the Openings Operations Manager in managing timelines and tasks.
• Achieve KPIs during opening and initial trading weeks.
• Manage handover to the new management team, ensuring KPIs are met and future direction is clear.
• Conduct post-opening analysis and develop plans for future improvements.
• Plan contingencies proactively.
• Promote and improve NPS scores within restaurants.
