Openings Manager

As an Openings Manager, you will play a key role in launching new restaurants, setting the tone from day one. You should be an experienced senior manager passionate about maintaining high operational standards and fostering a positive, empowering culture. Working closely with stakeholders, you will ensure each new Smokehouse opens with energy, consistency, and purpose-delivering excellent experiences for teams and guests alike.

Responsibilities & deliverables:

Team:

• Take an active, hands-on approach to training and coaching new teams, including management.
• Lead by example during the initial weeks of trading to meet required standards within the timeline.
• Support the Openings Operations Manager and people team in recruiting new staff.
• Assist in managing and mentoring support teams.
• Promote our culture and values with an authentic positive attitude.

Guests:

• Coach new team members on fostering community spirit among staff and guests.
• Monitor guest experience and feedback, implementing necessary improvements.
• Use Southern Hospitality to wow and thrill guests.
• Continuously develop operational procedures to enhance guest satisfaction.
• Create inviting, friendly environments for guests every day and service.

Restaurants:

• Support the Openings Operations Manager in managing timelines and specific tasks.
• Achieve KPIs for each opening and initial trading period.
• Work proactively towards a successful handover to the management team with all KPIs met.
• Conduct post-opening analysis and develop plans for future improvements.
• Plan contingencies effectively during opening processes.
• Promote NPS within restaurants and drive score improvements.
