Oncology Homecare Nurse

Tyne & Wear
Salary £43,700 + fully expensed company car and fuel card
Full time - 40 hours per week

You will support patients in their own homes or in mobile clinics, helping to reduce the stress, travel, and long waiting times often associated with hospital visits. You will be a vital part of the care team, providing comfort and reassurance to patients and their families. In this role, you will deliver high quality care at the forefront of oncology services.

Responsibilities
  • Administering IV chemotherapy, oral chemotherapy, immunotherapy and supportive treatments
  • Carrying out blood draws, toxicity assessments, and cannulation
  • Managing central lines, pump disconnections, and IM/SC injections
  • Delivering high quality, patient focused care in line with clinical protocols
  • Planning and managing your own daily schedule and travel between patients

Qualifications
  • Hold a valid NMC PIN
  • Have experience in oncology nursing
  • Hold a recognised oncology qualification, SACT passport, or equivalent training
  • Be competent in venepuncture and cannulation
  • Have experience administering Systemic Anti Cancer Therapy (SACT) across multiple routes
  • Be highly organised and confident managing your own workload and travel schedule
  • Possess strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient centred approach
  • Hold a full UK driving licence and be willing to travel extensively across the Surrey area
