The Role

As a Social Care Worker, you will provide high-quality, person-centered support in a small residential care setting, empowering individuals to live meaningful, independent lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver person-centered support that promotes independence, self-care, and life skills
  • Support community integration by accompanying residents to appointments, social and recreational activities, and family visits
  • Assist with daily living tasks such as cooking, laundry, and household duties, while promoting dignity and self-agency
  • Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to plan, record, review, and monitor care plans and individual outcomes
  • Maintain accurate records using digital systems and documentation standards
  • Uphold HIQA regulations and standards, best practice guidelines, health and safety, and safeguarding policies
  • Create a safe, respectful, and empowering environment for all residents
  • Work in a small residential centre supporting a maximum of four residents, ensuring high-quality, individualised care

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A recognised qualification in Social Care / Health Care at QQI Level 7 or higher (or equivalent)
  • CORU Registration or proof of active CORU application
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to plan, document, and report effectively
  • Confidence in using IT systems for record keeping and care documentation
  • A full, clean driving licence (essential)
  • A strong understanding of best practice in residential care and of individuals' rights and protection
  • Legal right to work in Ireland and successful Garda Vetting
  • A professional approach grounded in respect, empathy, flexibility, and initiative
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
