As a valued member of our Sheltered Housing team, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality housing support services that empower our residents to live as independently as possible.
This is a part time job share role, offering you the opportunity to work collaboratively with a colleague (your job sharer) to deliver a consistent, high-quality sheltered housing service. The specific working hours we are looking to fill are detailed in the additional information section below.
Your responsibilities will include conducting welfare checks, monitoring care packages, responding to emergency calls, and fostering a sense of community across ten sheltered schemes in and around Crawley. You will also visit customers who use our Lifeline service to carry out service checks and provide floating support to older individuals living outside the schemes to help them sustain their tenancies.
Qualifications- Self motivated, able to work independently and take a positive approach to resolving problems.
- Good organisation and IT skills.
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of the support needs of older people.
This part-time job share has a working pattern with an alternating weekly schedule:
- Week one:
- Monday to Tuesday: 8am to 4.30pm
- Week two:
- Monday to Wednesday: 8am to 4.30pm
Participation in a standby rota is required (paid at Category C, currently under review).
A full, current UK driving licence is essential.
Access to a suitable vehicle is required. Casual car user payments will be made for work-related travel (currently under review).
Appointment is subject to Enhanced (Barred List Adult) DBS clearance.
