Job Description

We're working with a small, welcoming primary school set in beautiful surroundings, where relationships are at the heart of everything.

What you'll be doing

This role is all about patience, encouragement, and building trust.

You'll:

  • Support learning both 1:1 and in small group settings
  • Build strong, supportive relationships with pupils
  • Encourage inclusion and positive interactions with peers
  • Adapt activities alongside the teacher to suit individual needs
  • Use praise and encouragement to build confidence and independence
  • Support the development of social skills in and out of the classroom
  • Share regular feedback with the teacher and SEND lead
  • Follow safeguarding and school policies to keep every child safe

  • Experience supporting children with SEND, or a strong interest in this area
  • A calm, caring, and patient approach

The details
  • Hours: 6.5 hours per day (8:30am - 3:30pm)
  • Start Date: ASAP

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
