Job Description

A highly regarded SEN School situated in Knowsley, Merseyside, is currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Nurture Teaching Assistant to join their exceptional team. As a Nurture Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive and nurturing learning environment that caters to the unique needs of each student. Working closely with the teaching staff, you will assist in the delivery of engaging and differentiated lessons, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the classroom teacher in planning and implementing individualised learning programmes
  • Working one-on-one or with small groups of students to provide targeted interventions and support
  • Encouraging students' social and emotional development through nurturing activities and positive behaviour management strategies
  • Monitoring and recording students' progress, and communicating regularly with the teaching staff and parents
  • Assisting with the preparation of educational resources and maintaining a tidy and organised classroom environment

To be considered for this rewarding role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience working with children with special educational needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach to working with children
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Flexibility and the ability to adapt to the varying needs of students
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for making a positive impact on the lives of young people
