Nurture Teacher Autism/SEMH Specialist (Alternative Provision) Primary School Setting Two Brand-New Classes Full-Time Position Salary: Competitive (MPS/UPS - Outer London) Start Date: September 2025 Are you an experienced, resilient, and compassionate teacher with a passion for supporting pupils with Autism, Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and challenging behaviours? We are seeking a Nurture Teacher to lead two newly established classes within our forward-thinking primary school, supporting children with complex profiles including Autism, high levels of dysregulation, and SEMH. This is a unique opportunity to shape an Alternative Provision (AP) environment from the ground up, backed by a committed senior leadership team. About the Role: You will be teaching and leading learning in a small, highly supported class designed to meet the needs of children who display: Autism with high sensory and emotional regulation needs SEMH challenges, including combative outbursts, swearing, and physical behaviours such as scratching, biting, pinching, and spitting Low self-esteem, attachment needs, and high levels of anxiety This role will be challenging, but for the right person, it s an incredibly rewarding opportunity to make a life-changing difference.
