About the apprenticeship

The apprenticeship focuses on supporting children's development within a nursery environment and includes both practical and caregiving responsibilities.

Duties

• Supervising children during play, learning, and meal/snack times, helping them with routines.
• Planning and assisting with activities, games, story time, crafts, and early learning key skills.
• Supporting children's emotional and social development.
• Personal care, including changing nappies and general care.
• Teamwork within the nursery and day to day activities to keep the nursery running.
• Maintaining good communication within the team and with parents/carers.
• Following all safeguarding and health & safety rules at all times.

Additional information

• One Nursery Practitioner term time only (Level 2 accepted).
• One Nursery Practitioner full term (both up to 16hrs).

Requirements

Full flexibility as hours are on a rota from opening time of 06:30 to closing time of 18:30.

Skills

• Ideal to have First Aid, safeguarding, food hygiene/safety qualifications, but willing to provide these if not already achieved.

Qualifications

Ideally minimum Level 2 Childcare.
