Our client, a well-established and respected provider of high-quality childcare, is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Nursery Practitioner to join their dynamic team. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities that cater to the diverse needs and interests of the children in your care. This may include leading group sessions, facilitating creative play, and ensuring a safe and secure learning environment. Your attention to detail, patience, and ability to build strong relationships with both children and their families will be crucial to your success in this role.
Candidates with a relevant childcare qualification, such as a Level 3 in Early Years Education or a similar standard, are strongly encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities:- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that support children's cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development
- Observe and assess children's progress, documenting their development and identifying any additional support needs
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
- Ensure a safe, clean, and well-organised learning environment that meets all relevant health and safety standards
- Actively participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and continuous professional development opportunities
- Adhere to the nursery's policies, procedures, and best practices in early years education
- A relevant childcare qualification, such as a Level 3 in Early Years Education or equivalent
- Experience working in a nursery or similar early years setting, preferably with children aged 0-5 years
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
- A deep understanding of child development and a commitment to providing high-quality, child-centred care
- A valid Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check or the willingness to undergo one
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing needs
