Nursery Manager

Full time position: Term Time only plus 4 weeks. 8.00 - 4.45pm

Fixed term from Monday 1st September 2025 until 31.8.2026 (with a possibility of becoming permanent).

Working Pattern: Monday - Friday 8.00 - 16.45

Salary Range (P16-P20) £29,572-£31,067

We're looking for atruly exceptional Nursery Manager- someone who lives and breathes early years' education, thrives in outdoor settings, and leads with confidence, passion, and care.

The Role

As Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership and day-to-day running of the setting, ensuring the highest standards of care, education, and safety are met at all times. You will lead a small, dedicated team, nurture strong relationships with families, and ensure the nursery remains a magical place for children to explore, grow, and thrive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring excellence across all areas Deliver a high-quality, child-led curriculum inspired by Hillstone's Values and the EYFS Lead and support a small team, promoting a positive culture Maintain a strong safeguarding ethos and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and standards Build meaningful relationships with children, parents, and external partners Manage planning, assessments, and learning journeys tailored to individual needs Ensure the indoor and outdoor environment is safe, enriching, and reflective of children's interests Take ownership of the setting's performance, reputation, and continuous improvement Attending and taking a lead at open evenings and parent evenings.

About You

Minimum Level 3 in Early Years (Level 5 or above desirable) Proven experience as a Nursery Manager or senior leader in an early years setting Strong knowledge of EYFS Excellent leadership, organisation, and communication skills A genuine love for working with children Committed to safeguarding and the well-being of every child Confident, creative, and adaptable with high professional standards
