Job Description

DCAI is currently supporting a major UK nuclear engineering programme and is seeking an experienced Finite Element Analyst to join a high performing structural analysis team within the Nuclear Business Area. This assignment supports reinforced concrete design activities for large scale nuclear new build projects in the United Kingdom. The successful candidate will contribute to the structural analysis of reinforced concrete structures using advanced FEM tools within a highly regulated nuclear environment.

  • Finite Element analysis of complex reinforced concrete structures
  • Seismic and dynamic assessments, including blast load analysis
  • Development and validation of FEM models using ANSYS (or equivalent)
  • Post processing of structural results to support reinforced concrete design
  • Contribution to engineering process improvements and internal tools
  • Collaboration within multidisciplinary nuclear design teams
  • Delivery of high quality technical packages to schedule
Profile :
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in structural FEM analysis
  • Strong expertise in ANSYS (Workbench and/or APDL preferred)
  • Proven experience in seismic and dynamic structural assessments
  • Experience in reinforced concrete structures
  • Background in nuclear or other highly regulated industries
  • Ability to operate within UK design standards and regulatory frameworks

Experience on UK nuclear new-build projects (e.g. HPC / SZC) would be highly beneficial.
