This is an exciting opportunity to join the clinical leadership team at the NRC as a band 6 deputy sister / charge nurse leading frontline clinical education. You will work across the 7 day service including long day and night shifts, providing visible and supportive leadership. The role works collaboratively across the multidisciplinary team including Nursing, Therapies and Medical Staff promoting shared learning and high standards of patient care. As part of the nursing leadership team, the post holder will contribute to the Site Co Ordinator role and develop others into undertaking this role. You will be key in welcoming and supporting new starters through induction and preceptorship, coordinating mandatory training, supporting students, identifying learning needs and delivering engaging education, while maintaining a strong clinical presence and role modeling excellent practice. Person Specification Training & Qualifications- Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
- Minimum Diploma Level Study
- Evidence of a Teaching & Mentor Qualification
- Evidence of continued professional development
- Formal leadership and management training
- Working towards or planning to undertake relevant degree or masters
- Post registration and recent experience as an enhanced patient care educator
- Post registration experience including management and leadership
- Practical experience of teaching small groups and multiprofessional teams
- Experience of delivering formal teaching to large groups of diverse learners
- Experience of leading change and new ways of working
- Experience of giving feedback on a one to one basis
- Experience of supporting work streams
- Experience of managing staff and providing feedback
- Experience of simulation
- Coaching
- Able to present complex information to diverse groups, verbally and written
- Able to prioritise own time and workload, responding to planned and unplanned work confidently
