Nottingham Place Partnership Programme Lead
Posted 18 hours 32 minutes ago by Allscreens Nationwide Ltd
In Nottingham City, local people are telling us that there is a need for physical activity opportunities that are local, accessible, good-quality, and designed for children, young people, and families. People want to feel confident to move in ways that fit their lives, and the Place Partnership work in Nottingham is working to change the systems that prevent this from happening. Creating this change requires influencing policymaking, collaborative working across organisations, and street-level, house-by-house community engagement.
The Place Partnership work in Nottingham will strengthen relationships, align priorities, and create the conditions for local people and organisations to work together effectively.
We're looking for a Programme Lead who will drive the delivery of Nottingham's Place Partnership programme. They should be able to run a brilliant project plan and keep multiple plates spinning, all while building relationships with partners that can be developed into a collaborative environment across several communities and organisations. Being able to balance keeping the programme on track with budgeting, milestones, reporting, and evaluation and learning, alongside building trust and influence with partners will be at the heart of their everyday. This person will thrive in this role if they are driven by a want to reduce inequalities, along with a curiosity about understanding the lived experience behind the data. They must be comfortable with the ambiguity of our work; it evolves, and they'll shape it as much as delivering it.
There is real autonomy in leading the Place Partnership programme in Nottingham, with a small, committed team, and a genuine mandate for system change. Relationship building is treated as seriously as project management in this role, and the ideal Programme Lead will be able to use their passion to progress both aspects in tandem.

We're part of the network of Active Partnerships covering the whole of England and supported by Sport England. We work with many organisations and groups across our cities and counties to support and empower our communities.
We encourage people to join our organisation from all walks of life, you don't need experience in the sport and physical activity sector to work for us. Disabled people and those from culturally and ethnically diverse communities are underrepresented in our workforce and are particularly encouraged to apply.
