As a Security Co-ordinator your primary focus will be to meet and interact with locations in the northern regions. This will include regional management teams, synagogue security officers and their security teams; rabbis; synagogue councils and boards of management; location administrators; office staff and local police officers.

You will take the initiative to highlight any concerns you have with the level of security at communal locations and advice or feedback as appropriate to the relevant sources. In addition, you will ensure that the concerns you have highlighted are followed up and dealt with by the relevant people.

The role will require working frequently in the evenings and at weekends, sometimes including overnight, in addition to travelling to your allocated regions in the North and Midlands of England, and Scotland.

Your key responsibilities for this role are as follows:

• Support location security officers with the planning and delivery of security and emergency procedures.
• Support communal locations with training security personnel and evacuation drills.
• Observe these drills and provide feedback/training on the areas which need to be improved.
• Encourage regional management to promote recruitment into their locations' security rotas.
• Deliver briefings/training to security rota personnel at communal locations.
• In conjunction with the Regional Security and Events Manager, liaise with security guarding companies in the monitoring and assessment of security guards, providing feedback to the relevant parties.
• Review the recommendations made by the Security Enhancement Department and in conjunction with location security officers, ensure locations move forward on recommendations made.
• Manage and assist your allocated regional management.
• Support the regional management in building and maintaining relationships.
• Highlight any concerns, issues or weaknesses in the regional management teams or location security teams to your Regional Security Manager in real time.
• Assist all Security Departments with tasks when required.
• Respond to calls for assistance regarding incidents or suspicious activity.
• Take part in Shabbat patrols and operations.
• Take part in HHD operations.
• Take part in Security Patrols as and when required.

You must be a team player, and have:

• Excellent communication skills with a natural ability to build strong relationships
• Ability to engage and manage volunteers of all levels
• Have a strong attention to detail
• Ability to deal and liaise with third parties in a professional and calm manner
• Proven experience of influencing people at all levels within an organisation
• Proactive and results orientated with the determination to issues/concerns through to completion
• Strong team working skills
• A flexible approach to working patterns
• A full clean UK Driving Licence
