Job Title: Shift Leader - Nights

Department: Front of House

Responsible To: Assistant Night Manager / Night Manager / Front of House Manager

Main Purpose of Job

Reporting to the Night Manager, the Night Shift Leader will assist the night team in meeting the variety of guest requests that may arise, helping to create a pleasant and memorable stay for our guests.

Liaises with: All Hotel Departments

Main Duties
  • Check in procedures for late arrivals.
  • Escort guests to their suites and ensure their comfort, including catering to food and beverage requests.
  • Porterage service.
  • Guest transportation and valet parking.
  • Room service/bar service as requested by guests, members or owners.
  • Cleaning duties of public areas.
  • Provide in room dining service, including preparation, execution and delivery.
  • Ensure bar service adheres to licensing restrictions.
  • Execute and record all fire and safety procedures.
  • Monitor safety, security and comfort of members, guests and owners, covering vulnerable areas such as machinery, doors, equipment and gas fires or cookers.
  • Perform night audit procedures.
  • Conduct check out procedures for guests.
  • Ensure night team duties are completed timely and to hotel standards.
  • Implement and train staff on procedures.
  • Assist with roster planning for the night team.
  • Train new associates.
  • Address negative guest feedback and resolve issues.
  • In the absence of the Night Manager, assume their duties and responsibilities.
