The Role

Your Duties

• Carry out cleaning duties safely and correctly at all times
• Maintain high hygiene standards in all work areas
• Follow all Health & Safety, Food Safety, and Hygiene procedures
• Use cleaning chemicals safely and follow COSHH guidelines
• Never mix chemicals
• Wear the correct PPE at all times while cleaning
• Ensure machines are safely switched off before cleaning where required
• Report any damaged equipment or safety concerns to your Line Manager immediately
• Follow the correct cleaning methods and instructions
• Help support Production and Quality teams when extra cleaning is needed
• Ensure cleaning activities do not create any food safety risks
• Work safely and support the safety of other team members
• Carry out any other reasonable duties requested by management
• Follow food hygiene, cleaning, and safety rules at all times
• Maintain good personal hygiene and use PPE correctly
• Use cleaning chemicals safely and as instructed
• Be reliable and punctual
• Understands basic English to:
• Follow verbal instructions
• Read safety signs and cleaning labels
• Communicate with supervisors and team members
• Have previous experience in cleaning or food environments
• Have food hygiene or safety training/certification
• Be willing to learn new tasks and procedures
• Be able to complete simple cleaning records or checklists
• Be flexible with shifts or work areas
• Maintain hygiene standards - clean work areas thoroughly to protect food safety
• Have health & safety awareness - work safely and follow procedures
• Communicate effectively - use basic English to understand instructions and report issues
• Work well in a team - support colleagues
• Take responsibility - own tasks and follow rules
• Exhibit a positive attitude - approach work in a professional and cooperative manner
