We are looking for a dedicatedNight Manager to take the lead in overseeing Hotel Services across our hospital sites during the night shift. This vital role ensures our services run smoothly and safely while most of the world sleeps.
You will be the go-to person for operational coordination, staff support, and service delivery working closely with clinical teams to respond to requests and maintain high standards of care and safety. Shift Pattern: Wednesday to Sunday, 10:30pm - 7:00am (including 1-hour break)
You will bring solid experience in facilities, hotel services, or healthcare operations ideally with a background in supervision or management. You are someone who thrives under pressure, stays calm and clear-headed, and makes confident decisions independently. Organised and proactive, you know how to keep things running smoothly even when challenges arise.
A key part of your role will be working closely with the A&E departments at both St Mary's and Charing Cross Hospitals, responding to urgent service needs and supporting clinical teams to deliver timely, effective care.
A valid UK driving licence is essential, as you will be travelling between sites to stay connected with teams and services. Above all, you are passionate about delivering high standards and continuously improving the way services support patient care.
Main duties of the jobLead and manage Hotel Services operations across multiple hospital sites during night shifts - namely:
- Charing Cross Hospital
- Hammersmith Hospital
- Queen Charlotte and Chelsea Maternity Hospital
- St Mary's Hospital
Ensure staff attendance, safe use of equipment, and compliance with health and safety procedures.
Respond promptly and professionally to service requests from clinical teams.
Attend one-day shift per month on a rotational basis to visit different sites, meet with Service Managers, and stay aligned with evolving service needs.

Person Specification Education/ Qualifications- Degree level education or equivalent professional experience.
- Management qualification or equivalent professional experience.
- NVQ level 3.
- Knowledge of COSHH.
- BICSc CPSS.
- IOSH.
- Managing Safely and Level 3 Food Hygiene certificates.
- Significant management experience of a diverse workforce in service environment.
- Project management.
- Implementation of innovation and improvement projects.
- Previous experience working in a healthcare environment.
- Previous experience working in a customer facing role.
- Proven experience of managing a complex service with a diverse workforce in a customer/patient service environment.
- A good team member with proven ability to lead, motivate, inspire and support diverse teams.
- An effective communicator (both verbal and written).
- Ability to work independently, flexibly and professionally - dealing with stressful and changeable situations.
- Computer literate in Excel and Word.
- Hospital experience
