Night Manager

Asda, Sunderland - full time permanent night shift manager. Responsible for leading the night team, maintaining store safety, floor standards, and trading activities while the store remains open 24/7. Work a rolling rota of four nights in seven, including weekends. Compensation: competitive salary plus benefits. Closing date 19July2026.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute all trading activity on the shopfloor during the night shift, ensuring delivery schedules are met and waste/returns are managed to limit damage.
• Lead and coach night colleagues and team leaders to deliver excellent shop floor standards, foster a selling culture, and increase basket items.
• Ensure the shop floor is landed, presentable for customers before handing over to the day team, including promotion, foyer, and hot spot fit for trade.
• Develop talent by listening with empathy, driving resilience, encouraging ownership, focus, and passion for the business, and supporting team development.
• Make independent decisions with a hands on attitude, continuously improving processes and people.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising or managing teams in a retail grocery environment, preferably overnight.
• Confidence in developing teams and managing change.
• Strong customer service focus.
• Flexible to work a range of night shifts, including weekends.
