Main Purpose of Job

Reporting to the Night Manager, the Night Shift Leader will assist the night team in meeting the variety of guest requests that may arise, helping to create a pleasant and memorable stay for our guests.

Liaises With

All Hotel Departments

Responsibilities
  • Check-in procedures for late arrivals
  • Transport guests to their suites and ensure comfort, including any food and beverage requirements
  • Porterage service
  • Guest transportation
  • Valet parking
  • Room service/bar service as requested by guests, members or owners
  • Cleaning duties of public areas
  • In-room dining service (preparation, execution and delivery)
  • Ensure bar service adheres to licensing restrictions
  • Ensure fire and safety procedures are carried out and recorded
  • Ensure safety, security and comfort of guests/owners by monitoring vulnerable areas (machinery, doors, equipment, gas fires, cookers, etc.)
  • Perform night audit procedures
  • Check-out procedures for guests
  • Ensure night team duties are completed timely according to hotel standards
  • Develop and implement procedures
  • Assist with roster for night team
  • Train new associates
  • Assist with negative guest feedback and rectify issues
  • Assume Night Manager's duties when absent
